HUMANITARIAN CRISIS: HELP SAVE LIVES IN HAITI

For over four decades PIH has partnered with Haitians to deliver high quality care. Support our patients and help our staff provide critical care under threat from widespread violence.

DONATE NOW TO PROTECT PATIENTS AND STAFF IN HAITI

Our team in Haiti needs your help. Currently, the violence and instability is some of the worst we have seen in our four decades of health care delivery in the country.

  • The U.N. estimates that at least 60 percent of the capital is now under gang control, with gangs controlling even larger portions of rural areas of the country. Hospitals are not immune.
  • The violence has become so widespread and profound, it has undermined our ability to operate as normal.
  • 1 in 10 Haitians rely on PIH-supported facilities to be there for them.

While there is little we can do to end this social and political crisis, we can continue to deliver health care to those in immediate need.

NOW IS THE TIME TO SEND YOUR URGENTLY NEEDED SUPPORT

YOUR GIFT'S IMPACT

Despite the escalating violence, we continue to serve as many patients as we did last year.
1.3M people rely on PIH-supported facilities to be there for them.

98% of graduates from medical residency programs stay to work in Haiti

More than 12,000 patients living with HIV receive care at PIH-supported facilities in Haiti.

THE HEART OF PARTNERS IN HEALTH

Haiti is central to everything PIH is. The instability leaves people at increased risk of injury and illness, of unaccompanied births, malnourishment, and cholera. In the middle of the crisis,

Zanmi Lasante, as PIH is known in Haiti remains a lifesaving care delivery team, and a model of equitable health care.
