Please join us on World Mental Health Day, October 10, to learn how the PIH Mental Health Program improves the lives of patients who previously lacked access to care. Dr. Giuseppe Raviola and Dr. Stephanie Smith, PIH mental health program co-directors; Carmen Contreras, mental health program director at Socios En Salud, as PIH is known in Peru; and Chenjezo Gonani, mental health program manager at PIH Sierra Leone, will discuss how they are expanding mental health and psychosocial support services across our sites and how, together, we are strengthening primary and hospital-based care to provide collaborative, comprehensive, community-based mental health services.

Ensuring global access to affordable diagnostics for tuberculosis: A Canadian perspective

Description: On 22 May 2024, MSF, together with Stop TB Canada and Partners in Health (PIH) Canada, hosted an online discussion on the “Time for $5” campaign and the need for affordable access to tuberculosis (TB) tests, from the Canadian perspective and beyond.
This webinar discussed the “Time for $5” campaign calling on GeneXpert manufacturers Cepheid and Danaher to lower the price of test cartridges; discussed the importance of diagnostics in settings from Canada to Lesotho; and highlighted Canada’s pledges, and shortfalls, supporting the global push to end TB.
