As part of the Ontario Council for International Cooperation Tapestry 2030 podcast series and just in time for International Women’s Day, Isata Dumbuya from PIH Sierra Leone, Basimenye Nhlema from PIH Malawi, and Ian Pinnell from PIH Canada discuss the collaborative “No Woman or Girl Left Behind” project, supported by Global Affairs Canada

Hear from Isata and Basimenye on the progress of the project so far, the impact of COVID-19 on women and girls’ health, and the importance of PIH’s partnership and accompaniment approach to health systems strengthening.

 

 

 

The five-year project, launched in 2019 and running until 2024, is improving access to sexual and reproductive health services, strengthening prevention and treatment for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), and increasing the availability of high-quality obstetric care in Kono District, Sierra Leone, and Neno District, Malawi.
