Hi, I’m Karli, the wellbeing scientist.

A lot of us talk about wellness as if it’s something we can Pinterest-board our way into. Sleep, sunlight, journaling, hydration. But here’s the truth: wellness is political. Your ability to survive childbirth, access care, or get treated with dignity isn’t just shaped by personal habits. It’s shaped by systems.

And what I learned about the maternal health crisis in Sierra Leone stopped me cold.
Mothers are dying, not because they are less strong, or less responsible. But because structural violence has shaped a health system that has been neglected for generations, making childbirth far more dangerous than it should be.

That’s why I’m raising funds to support maternal care in Sierra Leone, and every dollar you donate is matched 1:1, doubling the number of mothers and newborns we can reach.

This is what it looks like when we choose resolve over despair.
When we choose people over the systems that failed them.

Your donations are matched so, your impact doubles.
