PIH Canada Women’s Alliance

A Growing Movement, Rooted in Solidarity

The PIH Canada Women’s Alliance is a growing network of women who believe in a future where every woman and child has access to dignified, high-quality care. The PIH Women’s Alliance began in the U.S. in 2017 and is now taking root in Canada.

By coming together to learn about global health, connecting with other purpose-driven women, and taking action through advocacy and fundraising, the Women’s Alliance will help ensure health care is a human right, not a privilege, for this generation and ones to follow. From maternal care, child nutrition, HIV, cancer care to mental health and more, every woman and child can receive the best possible care no matter where they live.

Prioritizing Women’s Health to Transform Global Health

Women and children’s health care comprises approximately two-thirds of all PIH services. In 2024 alone, Partners In Health supported more than 1.8 million women’s health visits, provided over 154,000 prenatal care appointments, and ensured 57,000 safe deliveries for mothers and babies. These numbers represent lives saved, futures protected, and families strengthened.

But we know we can do so much more. By joining the PIH Canada Women’s Alliance, you can help us amplify this impact by spreading awareness, mobilizing resources, and expanding our reach so that more women and children receive the care they deserve. When women are healthy, poverty and malnutrition decline, living standards improve, and economic growth increases. By prioritizing women’s health, we can transform global health.
