Your gift to electrify health care is MATCHED

In low- and middle-income countries, like the countries where PIH works, two out of three clinics and hospitals don’t have access to reliable electricity—that affects 1 billion people. You can help us change this.

A Legacy of Compassion

Light up health care

Without reliable power, regular procedures can take a dangerous turn—water faucets run dry, blood banks go bad without refrigeration, a nighttime surgery is lit only by flashlight.

We need your help. There’s a funding gap, but there is also an amazing opportunity to close that gap quickly: donations help to cover the cost of electrification and plumbing for these clinics. When you donate by 11:59PM June 30, your gift in support of reliable power will be doubled by a generous board member.

How your gift will transform care

Right now, PIH teams around the world are hard at work improving power reliability, but there’s still a gap that you can help close.

  • A donation of $100 supports backup generators, which ensure lifesaving medicine and equipment stay available.
  • A donation of $500 supports battery storage, which brings the lights back on when they’re needed most.
  • A donation of $1,000 supports solar panels, which keep care reliable no matter where or when it’s needed.
Everyone should have access to quality health care, but for millions around the world, that’s not the reality. That’s morally wrong, and it’s why our teams around the world are currently working to improve power reliability at 15 facilities across 6 countries.

Donate now and help us end this injustice. Last year, we provided:
50% of people globally lack access to essential health care.
94% of maternal deaths occur
in lower middle-income countries.
Daily, 15,000 children die before reaching their fifth birthday.
