Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone
Sierra Leone has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the world, with 1,120 deaths per 100,000 live births. To address these harrowing numbers, PIH and the Sierra Leoneon Ministry of Health are opening the new center in late 2024, where we will provide advanced maternal and child health services to residents of Kono District and beyond.
