Michelle Williams, Dean of the Faculty at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, wrote an opinion piece in The Boston Globe on February 22, 2022 centered on Dr. Paul Farmer’s ongoing fight for justice in the face of inequity. The following is an excerpt from that article:

“Paul Farmer never accepted the status quo. … Inequality is status quo. Racism is status quo. Inequality is status quo. Racism is status quo. The notion that the poor will live in misery and die from diseases that are eminently treatable — that’s status quo too. And Paul would have none of it.”
